Irish Education System
The Irish education system consists of Primary schools, Secondary schools (high schools), Third level colleges, Universities and Professional Institutions. There are nine universities in Ireland – 2 in Northern Ireland and 7 in the Republic. These universities offer Bachelor degrees, Master degrees and doctorate programs in addition to a wide range of research. Bachelor degrees is of three years and Master degrees of one to two years. Some institutions also offer shorter diploma and certificate courses. The entire education system is evaluated by Ireland’s National Certification Authority, in order to ensure that the education provided holds the highest international standard.

02. UNIVERSITY FEES & OTHER EXPENSE
The Tuition fees in Ireland vary depending on the choice of field, programme and university. Under graduate courses approximately cost around 9,000 to 45,000 EUR/year and the cost for postgraduate and PhD courses numbers around 9,150 to 35,000 EUR/ year.
The main accommodation prices for students in Ireland are:
- Student living alone:414 EUR/month
- Student living with partner/child: 470 EUR/month
- Student living on campus: 375 EUR/month
